Spiderman Turn Off the Dark Actor Finally Speaks About Injury

Daniel Curry, an actor starring in the Broadway musical about Spider Man, suffered an almost crippling injury on the set. The New York Times reports that Curry’s foot was snagged in a mechanical stage lift and that surgeons had to displace three fourths of his foot.

In addition to the removal and replacement of a large majority of his foot, three places in both the foot and leg were pulverized requiring pins and plates. The actor is forced to uses crutches and wears a boot for orthopedic reasons.

Curry states that he, at one point, really believed he was going to die. “I was praying through those moments, and just trying to stay as calm as possible.”

As a result of his injuries, Curry has lodged a complaint and is suing the producers of the show; Michael Cohl and Jeremiah Harris, for negligence. The dancer/actor is not sure if he will ever dance again.
